Have you ever seen a painting & wished that you could paint something like it, or own a copy of it or even just know how it was done?
My name is Mark Popple, and I have over 20 years of painting experience. I have studied the materials & methods of the masters, focusing primarily on oil painting. The advantage of copying from the art of the past, as students over many centuries have proved,is that certain problems of picture making have already been solved. This leaves the student free to concentrate on how to apply paint to canvas.
I can teach you how to make a good copy of any painting you would like to do. We will each have a canvas on which we will paint, side by side, the same image. I will guide you in colour choices and achieving an accurate reproduction; and you will learn how paintings are constructed and will end up with a good reproduction of your favorite painting!
I charge $50/hour with an initial 2 hour session recommended.
